What are your professional accomplishments and credentials?
I attended the University of Wisconsin La Crosse and graduated with a Bachelor of Science. I majored in Therapeutic Recreation and minored in Psychology with a Gerontology Emphasis. I am also a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS).
How long have you been in this line of work?
I have been in this line of work for over 10 years. Before my career I volunteered and interned within this line of work.
Describe what you do in a nutshell.
I manage the Life Enrichment Department across all Regency campuses overseeing the daily operations. I have the pleasure of working with a strong and energetic team who aim to provide quality programming and opportunities for our residents.
What do you like most about your job?
I find it rewarding to be able to collaborate with staff, residents, families and community members on a regular basis. I enjoy the ability to help maintain and enhance resident’s quality of life through enriching leisure programming. No day is the same, and I meet wonderful people each day.
When you’re not at work, where would we find you?
I am a lifelong learner so I enjoy reading and traveling the world as much as I can. I love to be active and continue to play softball and volleyball in Rec leagues throughout the week and go on hiking/camping trips when time allows. I also enjoy a game or movie night in with friends.
